| Okay, so I know it has been three months since I last posted, but truly those three months have been supper busy. Where do I start? Everything worked out on my house and I have been living there since Aug. 10. I love it! I have remodeled the bathroom, that consisted of taking of wallpaper (it was hideous), oh boy that was fun, and repainting the walls. Of course there is getting all the accessories for the bathroom, I am still working on that. Right now I am working on repainting my guest bedroom, it was an ungly rosey pink color, that really matches me doesn't it? I just finished, today actually, (I have been taking my time  ) priming the bedroom. I painting the room a begie color. After I am finished in the guest bedroom, I am going to work in the kitchen. There, again, I will repaint. The house is in really good shape, the only things that I am doing to it is changing colors to my taste. It is a two bedroom with one upstairs (guest) and then one downstairs. It has a full basement, but only half of it is actually finished. The other half is the laundy room, the washer and dryer were included in the house. I have hard wood floors, I love it! That is about it house wise. Teaching is a blast, I love all of my kids. My job is fun, I am a reading interventionist, which means I work with small groups of stuggling readers. I work with 1st-3rd. All of my students are sweeties. A few of them have mastered saying my name, but for the most part I am just "Teacher" or Miss Terific! I can't believe how fast the school year is actually going, it is already October. I stay pretty busy. A group of us, four girls, have started a Bible study. We meet at my house and right now we are doing Captivating. I love it. God has really blessed me with this group. Well I think that is a quick update of my life in the last three months. I sure I forgot a lot, but then this post would go on forever, if I put everything in. | | |
| Okay, so I think it is time to update. Life is going good here, I have actually been kind of busy. I thought I would be really bored this summer, but God has provided me with lots to do. Well I got my contract for the district and now it is official I have a job, and right now I am in the process of buying a house, yes, buying not renting. It is a really cute house. When I get some pictures of it I'll post them. This doesn't mean that I am tying myself to Ft. Morgan, it feels like God's will. If I move away, I will either resale the house, houses usually always appreciate not depreciate, or keep the house and just rent it, real estate is something you should invest in when you are young! The closing date is Aug. 10, I am really excited. My friend Melissa and I joined the photography club. I am really excited about that. It isn't very big, but I think it is going to be fun. I think I am also going to join another club called the JCs, they do community service and the age is like 18-40, so they are younger. I am glad that I am back in Ft. Morgan. It is a little weird at times, but it seems so right! | | |
| I am now an employed person. I will be working at Columbine Elementary in Ft. Morgan. The postion was for reading intervention, so I am not a classroom teacher. The students will be pulled from their classroom and will come to my classroom to get thelp with their reading. I get to work with every age level. Thank you for your prayers. | I have a interview with an elementary school here in Ft. Morgan, on Monday. I think at 10:40, but I couldn't remember the exact time, isn't that terrible. Please pray, I want this job! I don't know what the opening is for, but I really don't care. Please pray that I will accept whatever God has for me out of this. I want this job! | | |
| Today is my last and final day at Holiday Inn, and my last full day in Texas. Tomorrow I will be on my way back to Colorado. Wow, that is just crazy! I have really enjoyed working at the hotel, except for some days, but God really did bless me with this job. To be honest, I have enjoyed the years I have lived here in Texas, but you didn't read that. I am excited, but it is kind of bittersweet, because I am ready to find out where I am going to be teaching and to get started on that, but at the same time, I am going to miss the people. Last night Marta and I went to Tommy and Teresa's and hung out. Amanda Rusher was there and I had so much fun with them. We played games and ate steak and laughed a lot. After we left and I went to bed I felt a little melancholy because that was my last night to do that with them. Also last night was Marta's and I's last night at the apartment. That is sad too, because I have loved being Marta's roommate. For those of you who watch Friends you'll understand, but I feel like Rachel and Monica when Rachel moves out in season six because Chandler is moving in, it is exciting, but it is also sad and hard to move away from your best friend! Don't get me wrong I am very excited about moving back to Colorado, I am just a little sad right now. I felt really sorry for Marta yesterday, she had to give up her cat Lakme. I know that was really hard, and then my cat Keiko was crying last night because he was all alone and couldn't find his sister. This morning he followed me around everywhere, it was sad, I think he was still looking for Lakme, and he had no one to play with. Poor Marta, I can't imagine having to give up Keiko, I would cry like a baby. Anyways, about Colorado certification, I have been endorsed to teach and have two years to take the elementary PLACE test and early childhood PLACE test. I am taking the elementary PLACE test this Saturday, please pray! I haven't heard anything from any schools, but they are just now really finding out what they have available, but I would really appreciate your prayers for that also. Well I have to get to work, I will be better about updating this I promise!
